New stat-arb trading desk in Tokyo is looking for a senior 3-5 year trader with deep understanding of complex statistical arbitrage trading. This role best suits those who are already comfortable trading $100m+ AUM stat-arb books with multiple uncorrelatedstrategies ready for implementation. Top academics are expected with advanced quantitative degrees in physics, math, computer science, engineering or applied math. This position is going to be given the latitude to build from scratch a new effort for this group inthe region. Expansion from Japan equity into Korea and wider Asia will be possible after profitable track record is established. European or American stat-arb traders with the right attitude could fit right in.
